WriteFest20

November is Academic Writing month!

WriteFest (#AcWriFest20) is part of the University's contribution to Academic Writing Month with activities running throughout November to support you in making writing a priority. The University has workshops and online resources to provide you with the space, time and support to write.

WriteFest will bring together researchers from across the UK to recognise and celebrate writing. PGRs and researchers at the University of Sheffield, the University of Nottingham, Newcastle University, the University of Exeter, Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Liverpool, the University of Derby, the University of Bristol, University of Edinburgh and Keele University will all be celebrating academic writing.

The festival aims to provide protected time and space for writing to help you work on:

  • HABITS - develop good writing practices and strategies
  • BLOCKS - overcome blocks and take a proactive approach
  • PROTECT - academic writing as part of the working day
  • SOCIAL - spend some time out writing with others
